Kathmandu — According to the Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal, the total death toll from the coronavirus has reached 1,979 as of Thursday afternoon.

With 336 new cases of the novel coronavirus confirmed on Thursday, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 268,646.

Likewise, the Ministry shared that now the country has 3,799 reported active cases of the virus.

In the past 24 hours, altogether 226 infected people got recovery from the virus infection. So far, 262,868 people recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country.
