Dr. Krishna Prasad Upadhyaya, a PhD from SOAS (University of London) on internal armed conflict, pursued an MA in Human Rights. Starting as reporter in the Kathmandu Post Daily in early 1990s, he has also worked nearly three decades as human rights professional, holding both expert and senior management positions in South and South East Asia, the UK, and Norway.

Lately he has conducted research on international migration, forced labour and advised labour rights projects as international consultant. Simultaneously, has also taught International Human Rights and Humanitarian Laws to students of MA in International Relations and Diplomacy (MIRD) Programme, Tribhuvan University, Nepal, as Senior Visiting Fellow. Dr. Upadhyaya can speak, read and write in English, Nepali, Hindi, Assamese and Bengali. He speaks Urdu too. He lives in North London.
