New Force Gurkha teased ahead of India launch

 June 27, 2021

New Delhi — Force Motors had showcased the new Force Gurkha at Auto Expo 2020 and we were expecting to see the SUV hit the market by end-2020. However, the Indian carmaker decided to delay Gurkha’s India launch. The carmaker is now finally ready to add the new Gurkha to its portfolio and we can expect the Mahindra Thar rival to soon go on sale in India.

Force Motors recently teased the new Gurkha on its social media handles and announced that it will soon announce BS6 Gurkha’s price in India.

When launched, the new Gurkha will be the only direct rival to Mahindra Thar. However, it is not nearly as feature-rich or powerful as the new Thar. Nonetheless, Force Motors’ SUV will still have the quintessential go-anywhere capabilities with which Gurkha is associated.

BS6 Force Gurkha, while sporting the same boxy silhouette as its predecessor, will come sporting several new design elements. It will come with a new single slat radiator grille, redesigned bumpers, side cladding, flared wheel arches, and round headlamps with LED DRLs. The new model also has a snorkel, bonnet mounted indicators, vertical tail lights, and a new design for the alloy wheels.

The new Force Gurkha will also be more feature-rich than the predecessor although it will still be quite functional. The SUV will come with provisions like a touchscreen, new instrument panel, AC, front power windows, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, reverse parking sensors, etc.
